Quote of the Day: Ben Franklin

Ben Franklin doin' his thang

Quote:

“In general, Mankind, since the improvement of cookery, eat about twice as much as nature requires.” — Benjamin Franklin, from The Art of Procuring Pleasant Dreams.

If you want to eat more, then increase your need for food. With my female clients, I often surprise them by how many calories a day I ask them to consume. On average, my clients DIET at 1,800 to 2,000 calories/day.

Of course, these calories come largely from high quality foods, like Chicken, Meat, Vegetables, Milk, Fruit, and high fiber carbs. But, if your need is high, you have more leeway than the average Jane to indulge in a slice of pie, or have a bowl of ice-cream.

Exercise provides you freedom.
