The Snatch

The Snatch is the first lift contested in a meet. The weight starts on the floor, and in one smooth continuous swoop, the lifter hurls it all the way above their head ending with locked arms.

The lift is deceptive. It seems simple. And indeed, in a way it is. But the form required to move a heavy weight in this manner is quite meticulous.
